Project Details

The mission of Sounds of Hope is to foster global awareness by drawing children and young adults to Minnesota to participate in residential arts projects and by presenting their global musical performances to a wide variety of audiences throughout Minnesota.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Targeted program expansion will enable 3-4 new cities in northern Minnesota to gain experience setting local goals while managing global arts events. Interviews will collect information from city partners on success achieving their goals supplemented by surveys identifying size and composition of audiences and interest in future events. 2: New audiences in 3-4 northern Minnesota cities will improve their knowledge of the music and cultures of 10-15 countries. Oral and written feedback collected from partners, city leaders, and audiences will measure the uniqueness, educational value, relevance, and quality of new, global arts activities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Program expansion reached audiences in three new northern cities and one city infrequently served, providing local experiences. Interviews were used to collect information from local partners, supplemented by targeted audience surveys. 2: New audiences in four northern cities improved their knowledge of the music and cultures of eleven countries. Oral and written feedback from partners and audiences measured uniqueness, educational value, relevance, and quality. Other oral feedback came from city leaders.
