Northern Lights Music Festival's mission is to provide high quality musical events, including opera, chamber music, and symphonic, both professional and student, throughout the Iron Range, using its beautiful and historic auditoriums and buildings; to be an environment for serious study of solo and chamber music for gifted vocal and instrumental students of all ages; and to generate economic activity on the Iron Range.

ACHF Arts Access
The NLMF intends to expand and improve its administrative infrastructure by increasing hours for key staff lines. We will compare the product of past seasons with goals for upcoming seasons, evaluating results of recruitment, administrative competency and marketing. We will survey participants who are returning to compare their experiences for two or more years. 2: NLMF will continue to provide high quality artistic experiences to the Iron Range community. Evaluation tools include audience surveys related to artistic quality; and personal perceptions of the programming's value. Both paper and email surveys will be utilized to reach all patrons. Incentives will include drawings for prizes onstage.
The Operating Support funding made it possible contract artists, orchestra and chorus efficiently, and to manage the B'nai Abraham Cultural Center.t. The new staff person was provided with global and specific tasks to accomplish in FY2020. Written reports were filed with the AD, with time sheets attached, and the results were evaluated with confirmation from either the AD or the Board President. 2: NLMF was the only arts organization in the State of Minnesota producing a full season of work. Minnesotans participate in NLMF activities as students, artists and audience. Programs, publicity, reviews and social media, including live streaming verify our activity. Surveys of audience and musicians pre- and post-season presents reactions.
