ACHF Arts Access
1. The arts are interwoven into every facet of community life. 2. Minnesotans believe the arts are vital to who we are. 3. People of all ages ethnicities and abilities participate in the arts. 4. The arts thrive in Minnesota. Measure audience size, and do organizational assessment to measure growth.
1. The Cedar Cultural Center worked on interweaving the arts into every facet of community life by furthering its plans to reconstruct its public outdoor patio into a space to be used for performances and by community arts organizations. The Cedar chose an architect, reviewed initial drawings, and secured 3/4 of the budget. 2. To encourage Minnesotans to believe the arts are vital to who we are, the Cedar launched five projects on Cedar Seeder, a crowd fundraising mechanism that allows local artists and organizations to conceive, propose, and raise funds for arts projects while allowing more Minnesotans the opportunity to support, follow, and therefore identify with local arts initiatives. 3. We increased access to the arts for people of all abilities through partnerships with Courage Center, Interact, and Workabilities. 4. The Cedar continued its growth in the number and type of events produced and in the number of audience members, therefore contributing to a thriving arts community in Minnesota.
