Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

1. People of all ages, ethnicities, and abilities participate in the arts. Use surveys and questionnaires.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Because Sinfonia offers free admission and welcomes children at all events, people of all ages, ethnicities, and abilities flock to our concerts. Programs serve over 25,000 area residents. Concerts are often standing-room-only events and draw diverse audiences. The orchestra's Music in the Schools program serves over 10,000 inner-city children. We evaluate our programs several times a year with in-depth, anonymous surveys taken at several different concert venues. According to survey results, over 30% of respondents have household incomes below $35,000 and rarely attend concerts by other professional arts groups. We also survey all of our partner schools, with 95% of responding teachers rating Music in the Schools an A for achieving educational goals and engaging students. Among respondents, 99% find Music in the Schools a worthwhile addition to their school programming.
