ACHF Arts Access
Visual Arts Minnesota would hire a part time program manager who will manage daily tasks and programming needs in order to address the everyday health of the organization. The program manager would assist the executive director in the implementation of programs, office management, and constituent correspondence in order to keep the organization strong, relevant, and accessible. Visual Arts Minnesota will acquire an office space in collaboration with Pioneer Place on Fifth, in downtown St Cloud.A job description will be written and assessed throughout the year of this position, in order to decide the value of the position. The job description will include a division of organizational responsibilities between the executive director and program manager that will build into a permanent position based on the additional fundraising efforts afforded by the executive director and board of directors (who is currently working on projects that a program manager could facilitate.) Visual Arts Minnesota will commit to an office space that fits the needs of the organization, both in mission and identity.
With this grant, the Executive Director was relieved of many of the daily and routine tasks to be able to concentrate on forming the direction of the organization. It also enabled us to rent office space, adding to the professionalism of the organization. The very fact that the organization was better organized and maintained was our evaluation.
