Project Overview

The Mississippi River-St. Cloud (MRSC) Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy (WRAPS) Update project will provide an opportunity to evaluate the water quality impairments, complete pollutant source assessments, establish loading capacities and allocations for several of the impairments, prioritize water bodies for protection and restoration, and evaluate and recommend restoration and protection strategies. Through ongoing public participation and outreach, the project will provide an opportunity to assess and leverage the capacity for the local community to engage in the process of watershed management and to adopt protection and restoration practices.

This project addresses 17 impairments for Escherichia coli (E. coli), nutrients, and fish and benthic macroinvertebrate bioassessments.
