Project Overview

This project is for two years of water quality condition monitoring, data management, and project oversight for ten stream locations within the Watonwan and Minnesota Mankato Watersheds.

About the Issue

The primary objective of the Surface Water Assessment Grant (SWAG) program is to determine the health of lakes and streams in Minnesota. Through funded projects, local partners collect surface water quality data used to identify lakes and streams that are in need of restoration or protection strategies. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) focuses these strategies at the major watershed scale.
