Minnesota Peace and Justice History Project: Oral History Editing
To produce four demonstration videos of oral history interviews of Compassionate Rebels in Minnesota for review by teacher consultants to determine suitability for classroom use.
$4,500,000 the first year and $6,500,000 the second year are for history programs and projects operated or conducted by or through local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources. Funds are to be distributed through a competitive grant process. The Minnesota Historical Society must administer these funds using established grant mechanisms, with assistance from the advisory committee created under Laws 2009, chapter 172, article 4, section 2, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), item (ii).

While student exposure to these videos will provide valuable, measurable outcomes, this phase involving teacher consultation has already proven signi?cant in its impact on the entire project. This teacher feedback allowed us to re-imagine the videos in a way that will make them more watchable, more dynamic and, ultimately, more impactful to students throughout the state. This level of collaboration has surpassed our initial expectations in terms of creating a collection of videos that can best serve the teachers and their students.
