Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

We will increase the number of exhibiting artists by 8-10 from the previous year and increase the variety of exhibiting artists by directing the call to a wider scope of mediums and ethnicities. We will evaluate our achievements by the number of artists we present and by the variety of artists (medium and ethnicity) through gathered artist data and post-show evaluations. 2: We will increase the number of Minnesotans who experience the arts via the Lakeville Arts Festival. We will evaluate this achievement by the number of patrons that the festival draws overall. We will compare these numbers for the 2013 festival to those of previous years.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The Lakeville Art Festival presented 73 artists at the 2013 festival. This is an increase of 12 over the previous year. The diversity of mediums was also increased. Please see this year's brochure for specific artists. The percentage of Minnesota artists was also maintained the significant majority at 88%. There were 9, making it 88%. The festival increased to 8 emerging artists (from 3-5) and increased the demonstration booths from 1-2. Increased physical space (due to the demolition of a building on the grounds) allowed for the increased number of tents and allowed for more applicants to participate while holding true to our mission to be a small but premium juried art festival. 2: The festival was blessed with outstanding weather for the entire weekend. This was one factor that helped achieve the record numbers of attendees in 2013. Increased marketing, strategic alliances with the downtown businesses, outreach to civic groups and word of mouth/reputation had also greatly influenced the amount of participants.
