McDonough Recreation Center will present an arts festival in the North End of Saint Paul that is open to the public and includes performers, art booths, art activities, and food.

ACHF Cultural Heritage
Participants will join together to celebrate diversity in Saint Paul's McDonough neighborhood through interaction with visual and performance art. Participant surveys that ask about feelings of inclusiveness, diverse cultural representation among artists and art forms, how well the art/artists represent the community, and overall enjoyment of the festival will be taken during the event. 2: Artwork created by North End youth will be highlighted, giving young artists the opportunity to share their artistic voice with their community. Artwork will be categorized by age and 50% or more of the artwork on display must fall into age groups of eighteen and under to meet outcome goals.
Participants did gather to celebrate diversity in Saint Paul's McDonough neighborhood through interaction with visual and performance art. 78% of participants surveyed stated that they felt their culture was represented by the artists they interacted with at the Art Crawl. 92% reported enjoying the event and 89% said they would attend the event again. 2: Over 99% of visual art displayed at the event was created by North End youth and 80% of performance art was put on by North End youth. All visual artwork, except for the Becoming Hmong project, was created by youth. Altogether, nearly 600 youth artists from schools and rec centers showcased art. eight out of ten of the live performances were done by youth from various local schools.
