Project Details

Minneapolis Park and Recreation will present the Minneapolis Monarch Festival or Festival de la Monarca, which celebrates the monarch butterflies' 2,300-mile migration from Minnesota to Mexico with music, art, monarchs, education, food, plants, and more.

50% of the Festival's visual artists will be Latinx and have a positive experience. A bilingual evaluation as part of a communal meal with visual artists will provide quantitative and qualitative information including numbers, quality of the event and experience, what to improve, and how to achieve that.

Measurable Outcome(s)

30% of the primary visual artists were Latinx and they all had a positive experience. Festival staff hosted a bilingual communal meal with visual artists to discuss and collect qualitative data about the event. Artists brought examples of their work to share. Other quantitative data was collected at this time and also via email.
