Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center will work with community leaders to present the Mexica New Year festival, an event that is open to the public and includes folk and traditional performers, foods, artist booths, and children's activities.

The participants at the Mexica New Year Festival in March 2020 will deepen individual and community cultural knowledge and practice. We will gather formal and informal feedback from participants and audience members, in addition to documenting the event through photos.
The participants at ceremonies and gatherings in 2020 have deepen individual and community cultural knowledge and practice. Several virtual gatherings and meetings leading up to the July and September ceremonial dance events took place for cultural exchanges of stories and songs that deepened individual and community cultural knowledge and practice.
