Project Details

The City of Eden Prairie will present the third annual PeopleFest, offering a series of community events celebrating the unique cultures represented in Eden Prairie. A culminating party will showcase multicultural performances, booths, food, and hands-on activities.

Attendees have meaningful arts experiences that spark cross-cultural dialogue, increase cultural competency, and build new connections. On-site evaluations will gauge attendees' increased knowledge of and willingness to experience new cultures. Detailed documentation of arts projects focusing on connecting and building new relationships will be compiled. 2: Artists will expand their physical/virtual audiences through participation in PeopleFest! and create connections for support amongst one another. Artists will benefit from the wide marketing reach of festival steering committee organizations. On-site evaluations will gauge attendees' original awareness of the artist/art forms and their willingness to further engage through other venues.

Attendees had meaningful arts experiences that sparked discussion, increased cultural competency, and built new connections and understanding. On-site/online evaluations gauged attendees' increased knowledge of and willingness to experience new cultures/viewpoints. Documentation of arts projects focused on bringing community together, telling stories and amplifying voices often silenced. 2: Artists expanded their physical and virtual audiences through participation in PeopleFest! Artists received the marketing reach of committee organizations including the City and School District. On-site evaluation gauged attendees' original awareness of the artist/art forms and their willingness to further engage through other venues.
