Project Overview
Partners: The City of St. Paul and Public Art St. Paul. A professional conservator will restore the 1907 Schiller sculpture in St. Paul's Como Park, a part of the City of Saint Paul's public art collection. It will also provide public information about the sculpture and a strategic plan for ongoing maintenance.The Schiller sculpture has stood as a focal point near the entry to Como Park for more than 100 years and is seen by many of the more than 3,000,000 annual park visitors. It is a major work of art by a distinguished artist, commissioned with great care by leading members of Minnesota's German-American community in the early 20th century.
