Short Term: Target achieved. Multiple reports have been generated from Past Perfect, showing 1,488 new records developed within the date range of 5/4/21 (when we started doing data entry) until 2/11/2022, when Bookcase 23's inventory was completed. One page from each of these reports will be attached to show the outcome of our work on this project. These include Phase 7 Inventory-Pub. Name, Date, Place, Edition; Phase 7 Condition, Title, Author, Physical Description; Phase 7 Library Summary and Description Listing' and Listing of Obj ID No Phase 7. These reports were reviewed for missing or incorrect data elements and corrections made within the database.
Intermediate Term: Partially achieved. This will be ongoing. The Project Director reports in the quarterly newsletter on the progress of work on grant activities and new accession and to the Board of Directors at their monthly meetings. The Executive Director has been writing articles regarding new accessions and/or items of interest that are already inventoried for the newsletter and website.
Long Term: Achieved and ongoing. The Accessions/Inventory Team was observed to watch closely for mildew or red rot or books that were in a state of disrepair. Those books were removed from the Library shelves to prevent further damage. They were then wrapped in acid-free unbuffered tissue and placed in storage within the Library in a location not available to the general public. The books will, however, be available for researchers, etc, upon request.
