Project Overview
Friendship Academy of the Arts will teach K - 8th grade students, their families, and the community, about the rich indigenous cultural history of Minnesota (past and present). Specific activities include: 1) cultural heritage workshops; 2) creating educational curriculum development modules focused on the history and contributions of diverse communities; 3) community cultural festivals; 4) a humanities programming series of events including art exhibitions, literary discussions, and musical performances, reflecting Minnesota's cultural diversity, in collaboration with local humanities scholars and artists.
