I aim for this music video to encourage women of all ages to honor themselves and to stand up for what they believe in. I hope to represent the strength of women so they will no longer feel underestimated. I aim to inspire empowerment within women, and urge for equality to be present in our community. I hope for the audience of this music video to be moved to be better to themselves and to one another. I hope to instill honesty, compassion, guidance, and strength. Furthermore, Superior Siren is an all-female band, which is unique within the music industry. There is a low percentage of bands and musical acts only involving women locally and internationally. This video will help to encourage young women to follow their dreams, make art, and work towards careers in music. My main goal of this project is to create the music video for the song ‘Trying Too Hard’ by Superior Siren. I aim to work with Headwaters Entertainment to produce an awe-inspiring music video. If this grant is awarded, we will create a high production theatrical storyline that will compliment the theme and intention of the song. This will aid to my goal of producing a captivating music video that inspires and empowers listeners. Another goal is to host a music premiere event in Duluth, Minnesota. This event will showcase the music video, and include a performance by the full Superior Siren band. Finally, I aim to broaden the audience of Superior Siren and increase listeners. The measurable outcomes are: the completion and release of the official Trying Too Hard music video, a high production product, positive feedback of the video, the occurrence and attendance of the music video release event, and an increase in listenership. The success I have had as a musician thus far is due to my determination to complete projects and reach goals that I envision. I take necessary steps to complete creative endeavors. I ensure confidence that this project will be executed by my enthusiasm to do so. Furthermore, Headwaters Entertainment agreed to create and produce the music video. We have gathered a team to accomplish all tasks. All parties understand the vision of the project. We have estimated the timeline and production. We plan to create, produce, and release the music video. Superior Siren recently worked with Headwaters Entertainment to create a music video for the song 'For Mother.' It was a successful endeavor, with a beautiful and captivating product. Therefore, we are confident that working with this team again will go smoothly, that the production will be done efficiently, and the release to be executed well. Finally, we are confident that venues in Duluth will offer to support the music video release event. The success of the completion of the official Trying Too Hard music video will be shown by a high quality and captivating product that captures the spirit of the song. The release will be successful by the upload and distribution of the music video. The video will be shared through all Superior Siren social media platforms. I will be certain the video leaves a positive impression on audiences by positive feedback from viewers, as well an increase in listeners. This success will be shown by a great number of views of the video on YouTube, by an increase in traffic to the Superior Siren website, by likes of video clips on Instagram, by likes and shares of the video on Facebook, by features and mentions by local publishers and communication resources, and by individual statements and compliments from fans. The success of the premiere event will be shown by the execution and completion of the event. A large attendance at the premiere will also represent success of the music video release.
