ACHF Arts Access
Participants will leave with: a basic understanding of electrical currents, a sense of community, a smashing piece of art, Feelings of being relaxed, fulfilled and inspired, and Reusable equipment to run their art instrument at home and the know how to re-create a new instrument out of almost ANYthing they have at home ; Goal 1-I want to establish a career running art workshops, introduce young artists to new possibilities within art using technology, teach people/ kids about electrical currents safely. I will accomplish this goal and measure how successful I am during this process by following through and asking the people what they want. Goal 2- Offer a memorable and enjoyable interactive art and science experience that participants want to see annually. I will see success if the workshop is full and if 50% of those attendees or parents of children attendees fill out a survey and report an overall positive experience. I will ask how people felt about the event, what they loved, hated. I will survey if they want to attend this event again. I will ask about the space, timing and how they heard about the event. Goal 3. Instill basic knowledge about circuits Ensure artwork plays sound as designed by the participant I have done this very thing, art activities with kids, on my own volition (and in partnership) with the Y and City of Duluth during 2023. I have also embarked on the touch- sensitive dynamic art journey as well, this project is the Venn Diagram sweet spot in my life and skill set. The largest activity I ran was with 30 kids at Lowell, average size event is 15. I am exuberant, silly and encouraging, I place clay into reluctant parent's hands who are soon smiling making art for the first time in a decade. I am not able to hold a full-time job with my barriers but I EXCEL at planning art activities and working part time within my limits. This is my pathway. I'm on it. I EXCEL at one-two day events. I was asked to draw portraits two days before@ the Duluth Winter Village 2023 and I said yes, terrifying -chatting with and making art for hours two days in a row. I'm showing up for art and I'm showing up for community. ; Participants will be required to register for the event. I will send surveys to credentials collected for registrants. I will know the event was a success if 50% or more report overall satisfaction. I will use the information to guide the next event I plan. I will achieve goal 1 by continuing with more iterations of this event based on the feedback from this event. I will ask participants if they would like to attend this event ( or a child) in the future. This answer will guide my response and whether or not to alter aspects. Ensuring each participant's instrument is working by the end of the workshop (easy) will demonstrate knowledge of circuits was gained.
