Project Overview

The goal of this project is to continue the development of Hydrologic Simulation Program FORTRAN (HSPF) model application tools and improve and expand the effective application of HSPF models. The tools involved in this work include HPSF and Scenario Application Manager (SAM).
This project will deliver an intermediate/advanced HSPF workshop and a MATLAB script development workshop so that Minnesota Pollution Control Agency staff can more efficiently review the watershed models developed by consultants, and more effectively utilize them to develop Total Maximum Daily Loads(TMDL) and other watershed management programs. Another outcome is the continued development of the HSPF and SAM tools for improving the use and application of the HSPF modeling framework that has been developed throughout the state of Minnesota.
