History of Franconia Township Scholarly Research Project
A qualified historian was hired to research and analyze Franconia Township holdings at multiple research institutions and other references to determine which primary source documents are held at each repository which will be useful in understanding the township's history throughout the period from the geological formation of the earth to the 21st century. Prepared written research report with appendices. This research gives historians and townspeople the opportunity to know the locations of the primary source documents related to the township's history in an easy-to-use format, which will save them time and expense when conducting their research.

$5,846,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $7,004,000 in fiscal year 2021 are for statewide historic and cultural grants to local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources. Money must be distributed through a competitive grant process. The Minnesota Historical Society must administer the money using established grant mechanisms, with assistance from the advisory committee created under Laws 2009, chapter 172, article 4, section 2, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), item (ii).
