Hackensack Conservation Building Conditions Assessment
To hire a qualified architect to conduct a conditions assessment of the 1936 Hackensack Conservation Building, now used as a public library.
$6,451,000 the first year and $7,035,000 the second year are for statewide historic and cultural grants to local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources. Money must be distributed through a competitive grant process. The Minnesota Historical Society must administer the money using established grant mechanisms with assistance from the advisory committee created under Laws 2009, chapter 172, article 4, section 2, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), item (ii).

The short-term target has been achieved three months ahead of schedule.
The intermediate-term target (September 2024) is on track. An estimated budget has been provided by MacDonald & Mack and $59,666, about 12% of the expected construction and design costs, has been raised. Work will begin on the written capital campaign plan and funding targets this spring.
The Long-term target (May 2026) is on track.
