Grey Cloud Slough Restoration Grant (2016 Legislatively Directed Grant to Washington County)
The 2015 Legislative Session directed a $520,000 grant from the FY 2016 Clean Water Fund to Washington County for the Grey CLoud Slough Restoration Project. The project will reconnect the slough to the Mississippi River, resulting in an improvement to water quality and restoration of an essential backwater aquatic area.
(p) $520,000 the first year is for a grant to Washington County for a water quality improvement project that will improve water quality and restore an essential backwater aquatic area by reconnecting Grey Cloud Slough to the main channel of the Mississippi River Area. This appropriation is not available until at least an equal amount is committed from nonstate sources.
