ACHF Cultural Heritage
With the guidance of master artists, children and their families will learn about and practice traditional Turkish music, dance, stories and art. We will collect self-reports from families as to what they and their children learned about folk arts. We will examine the participants' products (music, dance and storytelling videos and artwork) created after the instruction by master artists. 2: Children and their families will share what they learned about Turkish folk arts at three public venues to reach a wider audience. We will record the audience numbers at the April and October events and Festival of Nations where the participants share their knowledge with the public. We will also collect feedback from the public attending these events.
Instead of face-to-face interactions, we developed online resources. We could not collect reports from users as face-to-face activities ended because of Covid. However master artists are now describing the traditional arts in the prepared videos, which we will share,. 2: No live performances. Festival of Nations was canceled two years in a row.
