Hong will record the ten most important Pudong style pipa pieces on video to help pass on Pudong to future generations. She will present two concerts, ten lectures, and ten workshops for schools, senior centers, and community music groups.

More Minnesotans will learn, perform, and hear Pudong pipa music. Chinese Minnesotans will have ways to reconnect with their roots. Attendance numbers for the concerts and number of web site visits will be counted and tabulated. Any comments from surveys handed out at the concerts, workshops, and lectures/demonstrations will be used to determine the success of this project. 2: Minnesotans will have access to ten rare pieces in the Pudong style, their cultural significance, and the ability to learn them.
