The Day with Eriks Esenvalds was a tremendous success qualitatively, as measured by favorable comments from the performers (the guest choir from Latvia and the local Twin Cities choir loved hearing each other and singing together) and the audience (some audience members were crying with joy, others were shouting with joy, everyone was standing and cheering). The Day with Eriks Esenvalds was also a tremendous success quantitatively as the concert at the Cathedral was attended by approximately 650 people and generated over $17,000 in ticket revenue. We hope that additional people will enjoy the concert when it is broadcast on MPR on August 16.
