Evaluation of Building Mechanical System (HVAC)
To hire a qualified and experienced HVAC engineer to evaluate how well the current system controls the building environment.
$4,500,000 the first year and $6,500,000 the second year are for history programs and projects operated or conducted by or through local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources. Funds are to be distributed through a competitive grant process. The Minnesota Historical Society must administer these funds using established grant mechanisms, with assistance from the advisory committee created under Laws 2009, chapter 172, article 4, section 2, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), item (ii).

Yes, we believe that target goals were achieved. We suppose we were able to achieve these results because this grant enabled us to hire LV Engineering to perform a professional analysis. This analysis included data collection of temperature and humidity levels and a comprehensive analysis of the church layout and its current HVAC system. LV Engineering provided solid recommendations for replacing our HVAC system given the limitations of the existing structure. They also confirmed a report from a previous company, that St. Peter's current HVAC system, although functioning, has performed well beyond its expected lifespan and replacing it is, not only necessary, but urgent.
