The bicycle art cart will bring some fun to our downtown and the monthly Maker's Markets and encourage people to participate in small, quick art projects Making our organization a visible and important part of the business community is a goal of this new project. The air conditioning upgrade and new flooring in the classroom space will make our building more comfortable for customers and classes. The items for the Maker's Market will contribute to it's success and bring the arts to more people because of it's location on the plaza and free live music. We will track the users of the art cart and participation in the Maker's Markets. We always track visitor numbers to the gift shop and gallery.
Every item has added to our ability to bring art to the community. The Art Bike was a fun addition to the art themed events that were held last summer. The air conditioner, radiator covers, hanging system, and new lighting in our gallery space affected visitors as well as the artists exhibiting and selling in the gift shop. On the exterior, the ramp is refreshed with new paint and the TV is positioned in the window and plays videos about our events and exhibits. The new sign will help us with our rebranding as Makers on the Minnesota. The iPad enables us to take Square transactions easily. The new vinyl flooring in the classroom space makes it more user friendly. The radios and radio transmitter will be used next summer to bring live music from our events throughout the downtown.
