Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The MacBook and iPad will greatly enhance the day to day operations and administrative work (web design, social media, creative editing, communication and project management). New computers will also increase efficiency while working with students and projects. Hundreds of music files are kept on the computer, students use the computer for compositions and recording, and business is transacted all with the use of a laptop and iPad. The Executive Director and others will be relying on this equipment for use during productions, for recording and editing, and for managing a project. We anticipate a reduction in hours spent waiting for data to render or upload or process, we anticipate increased capacity and efficiency on technical related work and we anticipate zero crashes and computer meltdowns. Those using the computers and new software (Director, Staff, Students) will be able to report efficiencies and better quality projects, all with a lowered stress and anxiety level.

Measurable Outcome(s)

A major outcome for new technology was to have a reliable computer for project management and live performance, speed up processing, smoothly run programs, and create art digitally. We were able to initiate all of these goals successfully this summer and can tell that this equipment will be a foundation for much of the administrative and creative work done virtually. While the pandemic affected the efficiency of the project, we were ultimately able to get everything on our equipment list. Due to the delays in ordering, we have not been able to use all the equipment yet. We had hoped to use the iPads for the kids' rock band however WiFi was required and the place we used for rock band did not have access to internet. The iPads will eventually be used extensively for this program coming this Fall.
