ACHF Arts Access
3: "The capacity of those providing arts experiences is increased or strengthened by changing, expanding, or enriching the ways in which they connect to their communities through the arts." BMAT will provide greater oversight of groups which rent our theater, which will minimize our liability for adverse events. Rental parties will have increased knowledge of theater operations/functioning and thereby increased theatrical skills. Audiences will have an increased aesthetic experiences during productions with a fully concealed "back stage" area. Our Executive Director or a member of our Executive Board will conduct the orientation meeting with renters. Access to the facility will be closely monitored/supervised until responsible behavior is noted by the individual doing the training. Accountability for this will be shared with the Executive Board. Renters will demonstrate acceptable operation of equipment they are authorized to use during the rental to the BMAT person doing the orientation (i.e. Executive Director or Board Member). During a performance in the theater by a rental group, a BMAT Board or the Executive Director, will observe the stage from 5 locations in the audience (3 down, 2 up) to confirm backstage activity is not visible.
