As a professional artist this has been a strange time. As artists we have lost our audience with the pandemic and have had to find different ways in sustaining ourselves without the support of galleries and exhibitions. For many of us, myself included, have had to turn to different work to make ends meet. This program and this grant will help to sustain my practice through this time and help start and sustain a new body of work. I have been an artist for 15 years (probably more!) and feel that I have a proven track record with my career. I have exhibited widely, have given multiple painting workshops, done some teaching, and have had gallery representation for the past 10 years and I have always met my deadlines on time.I will measure the outcome of my project myself (due to the pandemic in person art experiences are limited). I also will post images to my social media accounts so I can get feedback from other artists and art enthusiasts. Eventually when this pandemic is over I will exhibit this work with work I have already completed.
