Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This funding will support me as a working artist. This support will allow me to teach creative writing to 20-25 adults with disabilities, giving those individuals the opportunity to practice and improve their art. I have been teaching this creative writing class through Choice, unlimited every week since 2012, with the exception of weeks that I was traveling or days that the organization was not open. Over the course of almost nine years, I have arranged and hosted 25 public performances showcasing the creativity of these students. This work is an integral part of my life and fundamental to my ongoing development as a writer and teacher.I will have successfully met my goal when, at the end of five months, 20-25 students have been given the opportunity to participate in this creative writing class.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Over the course of 5 months, from January 2021 to May 2021, I held an hour-long creative writing class via Zoom every Friday serving adults with disabilities. Eighteen students of the Arts Program at Choice, unlimited participated.
