Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As explained above, we are trying to keep interest in the Edge alive. We are aware of an expressed desire for other multi-media productions. The expansion and change of medium requires our own?not borrowed?video and editing equipment. We foresee other similar projects even after the pandemic is over; plus we could use the equipment to enhance live productions. We intend to earmark the funds toward that upgrade. Beyond the fact that we follow through with what we start, most of the project has already been completed. We are quite advanced toward completion. At this point we only need to complete the initial editing, do any touch-up we deem necessary, and finalize the production, including posting it online. The number of viewings the project generates is a numerical measure of success. An expressed desire for more similar projects or for incorporating multi-media in future live projects is another gauge. The artistic success or failure can be assessed by reactions, reviews, and by our own artistic and critical judgement.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The idea was to present original material via the Internet to usual patrons and beyond as well as provide a venue for the acting company to have a project to do during the isolation of the pandemic. We have done that. The official release date for the YouTube video is March 19, 2021. This is a new medium for most of the participants and as such was a learning opportunity for the actors, producers, writers, videographers, and especially the editor. Because the directors were not able to be onsite during most of the videoing, it is a little rough around the edges, but the learning curve was definitely climbed. The equipment used was what was available and borrowed. The plan is to use the grant money to supplement other sources to upgrade and own camera, sound, and editing equipment. We are in the process of acquiring that equipment.
