Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The evaluation metrics listed in the initial application were met with the professional standards of the two firms hired to complete the drawings.

The City of Rockford and the Rockford Historical Society now have a detailed plan of the materials, location, and appliances needed to compete the planned HVAC installation at the Ames-Florida-Stork House.

A grant request for the final phase of this project was submitted using these drawings, as planned. Both the City of Rockford and the RAHS feel confident in this request based on the level of detail contained in the final drawings.

We achieved these results as a direct result of the City taking proposals from firms recommended by MHS to ensure the project was completed with care and concern for the historic nature of the AFS House. The long-standing reputation for excellence from these companies cooperated well with the RAHS and City employees involved.
