Project Overview

This project is a new initiative that will celebrate and teach art, culture, and heritage. It will be operated by PRIMEtime, an out-of-school time network that provides after school and summer activities at no cost for more than 2,500 youth each year. Implementation of CULTUREtime will greatly expand arts & music impact while also launching a brand-new series of cultural activities that lift up the heritages of Rice County's Somali, Latinx, and LGBTQIA+ communities. This new avenue for cultural engagement and appreciation of the diverse backgrounds of Rice County families will be in the form of cooking classes, art & music activities, public events, and affinity groups.
