Anna Peter: I am a Minneapolis based artist working out of a studio in the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis. I am an oil painter, with much of my work revolving around the figure and portraiture. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2020 with a BA in Global Studies.; Kenneth Schweiger: Kenneth Schweiger registered a Fine Art sole proprietorship with the Secretary of State in May of 2019. After participating in both Lowertown's Art Crawl and North East's Art a Whirl, it became time to pay sales tax on paintings. Kenneth trained with professional oil painters in North East and teaches children and adults drawing and painting. Kenneth's classes can be found via Saint Paul Public School's Community Education and the Atelier Studio Program or Fine Art in Minneapolis. He also travels to Japan with Saint Paul company Tanpopo Journeys. On these arts tours to Japan, Kenneth is assisting with translation, travel, and cultural competence. In terms of volunteer service, Kenneth can be found the second Sunday of the month serving lunch at the Dorothy Day/Catholic Charities Opportunity Center. ; Cheyanne St John: Cheyanne, Mdewakanton Dakota and Mille Lacs Anishinaabe. An enrolled citizen of Lower Sioux Indian Community. She graduated from Fond du Lac Tribal College in 2002 with an associate of arts degree. Between 2003 and 2006, she attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque later participating in the Museum Studies program at Santa Fe's Institute of American Indian Arts. In 2014 she began to manage the Lower Sioux Agency Historic Site in Morton, MN. In 2016 began serving as the tribal historic preservation officer (THPO) for Lower Sioux Indian Community in the State of Minnesota. Her hobbies include public service work with tribal and local community, traditional art practice, traveling with her teenage daughter, canoeing, hiking, gardening, researching, and visiting. In 2020 Cheyanne joined Mankato State Univ. to undertake graduate studies in Anthropology; Ekaterina Thompson: Ekaterina Kazachenko is a Minnesota artist born in Russia. Her formal education ended with the completion of the PhD program in fine art through the Russian Academy of Arts in 2013. She also worked at the Academy for eight years as an assistant in the art department (kafedra). At that time she relocated to the United States and began making connections in her chosen field in Minnesota. During this time she participated in multiple juried art shows, had solo shows and received some awards. ; Cole Williams: Williams is a writer from the Twin Cities area. She volunteers with the Midwest Book Awards, Poetry Out Loud, Women's Prison Book Project, and The MN State Arts Board Grants. She also serves as the co-Vice President of the South Washington Watershed District and on the Cottage Grove Park Commission. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Augsburg University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Minnesota.

I will complete a book-length work of creative nonfiction, consult with a sensitivity reader/editor, and offer writing workshops to older adults. By the end of the grant period, I will prepare a final manuscript for submittal to agents and small presses after consultation with an outside editor. I will also offer two workshops in memoir writing to older adults in the Greater Twin Cities area.
I completed a manuscript of hybrid poetry/prose, consulted with an outside editor, and offered writing workshops to older adults. I completed a draft of my manuscript this fall after drafting and revision during the first half of the year. In October and November 2023, I offered three workshops in life writing to older adults in the Greater Twin Cities area.
