Advisory Group Members and Qualifications

Emily Johnson: Johnson is the founder and goldsmith for EC Design custom jewelry. Before launching her business in 2010, Johnson worked as the gallery director for Studio Vincent Custom Jewelry in downtown Minneapolis. Before that, she was assistant curator at the Soo Visual Arts Center. She graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2002 with a bachelor of fine arts degree with a focus in sculpture. ; Megan McNinch: McNinch is a visual artist living and working in Saint Paul. A former drawing and printmaking teacher at local cooperatives, she continues to volunteer as a mentor for children through local arts programs. She graduated from St. Catherine University with a BA in studio arts.; Susan Tarnowski: Tarnowski has recently retired from a career in the arts and administration. She taught music and art in public schools at the university level, then served as a university administrator and was the general manager of the Edina Art Center. She has reviewed grant proposals and volunteered on arts boards, including the Minnesota Chorale, the Edina Chorale, the Faribault Arts Center, and the Duluth-Superior Symphony; she currently serves on the Plymouth Arts Council.; Aurora Webster: Webster is the operations and communications manager at the Duluth Art Institute (DAI), informing artists, learners, and supporters about exhibitions, education, events, and resources. Through the DAI, she edits HUE, a quarterly visual art magazine. She graduated from Hamline University with BAs in studio art and psychology. She practices collage and creative journaling personally, and illustration and graphic design professionally through Aurora Webster Art and Design.

Audiences will be encouraged to provide feedback during my podcast or via social media comments.
