Winingham will help grow the local film community by producing a science fiction feature film in Minnesota that will prioritize diversity and inclusion, specifically with regard to Indigenous peoples both in front of and behind the camera.

Advisory Group Members and Qualifications

Kaitlin Hohenstein: Baumann is a freelance illustrator and musician. She received a bachelor of arts degree and works as a contractor, drawing comics and graphic novels as well as general freelance illustration. She is also a singer, performing in a cappella and chamber choirs along with writing and performing live music in a local eight-piece band. She has taught several youth oriented drawing classes through organizations in Mankato and Faribault and led community based music projects through the Arts Center of Saint Peter. She's also involved in biannual fundraising efforts for the public radio station KMSU.; Mark Jensen: As an internationally exhibited and collected fine artist, Jensen has more than twenty years of curatorial experience. In addition to founding and cofounding two art galleries, Jensen has taught at colleges and universities and served on exhibition, gallery, and acquisition committees. Jensen has juried numerous exhibits, including the Minnesota State Fair, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, and the American Society of Media Photographers Personal Works show. Jensen previously served as an Arts Board panelist, and a portfolio reviewer at the Society of Photographic Educators national conference in both professional and student categories.; Linda Nelson-Mayson: Nelson-Mayson has worked in art, design, and history museums for more than 45 years. She retired from the Goldstein Museum of Design and the museum studies graduate program. She served on boards and committees of professional organizations including the American Alliance of Museums, the Association of Midwest Museums, the Minnesota Association of Museums, and the South Carolina Abandoned Cultural Properties board. A percussionist and member of the Women's Drum Center board, Nelson-Mayson has a BFA from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and a MFA from the The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH).; Laura Steinmetz: Steinmetz is the compliance and human resources manager for The Mortgage Calculator Mortgage Company. She is the president of the board of the Twin Cities Tap Festival and has served on it for several years in a variety of positions. Previously, she was the president of the Shakopee High School Dance Team Booster Club. All three of her children have been involved in dance since they were three years old, and still teach/mentor and perform. ; Jodi Trotta: Trotta is a lifelong creator living in Saint Paul. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a theater degree. In the 1990s and 2000s, she managed and ran sound for several small stages in the Twin Cities. When not at her day job, she makes art and takes care of her loved ones while planning the next roadside folk art attraction to visit.; Jane Zilch: Zilch is a retired financial consultant. She began a part-time second career educating and consulting with entrepreneurs. Since 1990, she has served as a member of the boards of directors of several theater organizations, including Northern Sign Theatre, Steppingstone Theatre, Theater Latte Da, and the Playwrights' Center. She holds a bachelor's degree from Dominican University (River Forest, IL) and has acted in and directed several shows with local and community theaters and fringe festivals.

Building a stronger Minnesota film community by making film and including indigenous filmmakers in front of and behind the camera. The local film community will grow stronger by recruiting new and veteran indigenous Minnesota filmmakers and actors for an epic film as a lead character, supporting characters, crew, and no less than one producer.
