Project Overview

We have the following free shows we want to line up for our 2023 fair. These Homeward Bound Theatre shows will provide a fun learning experience for all ages: , , Alfy's World of Robotic Puppets - These versatile characters will bring a wide range of fun and education through agricultural facts, jokes and questions. These puppets are radio-controlled and engage children and families at different parts of the fair, targeting those specific aspects of agriculture. There's Nathan the Horse, Mooley the Cow and Olaf the Farmer who all talk about their different roles of the daily life on the farm., , Karl Achilles - an escape artist with his "Trunk of Tricks" for an exciting, unique history into magic in the tradition of Houdini. He promises something for everyone and his done many acts in numerous county fairs and schools. He is sure to bring family fun with his dozens of tricks., , Cory and Friends - they will be back with their "Power of Friendship" show, which will engage all audiences with singing, guitar playing, game show trivia and dancing. Within the show, kids and adults will be learning about bullying and the importance of friendship. Their presentation is educational and entertaining.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

We expect at least 20 families to interact with Alfy's robotic puppets as he roams our fairgrounds for each of his scheduled one-hour shows. We expect at least 20 families to take part in Karl Achilles three magic/trick shows. We also expect at least 20 families to interact with Cory and Friends as they take the stage for their singing and dancing shows. To measure and evaluate the results of these shows we will have a photographer on the grounds taking pictures as well as having a volunteer at each performance to take attendance at each performance.
