County Fair Legacy Project
We will have a totally new experience for one of our afternoon events for the youth at the Fillmore County Fair this year. We plan to bring "Emotion in Motion," a mobile splatter paint experience to our fair. This will be a fully immersive artistic experience, that is easy and fun for youth. When finished they will have an original splatter painting for their walls. We try to incorporate new things each year at the fair to accompany the traditional events that fairgoers expect. For the participants who take part in this splatter painting experience, they will each be taking home a one-of-a-kind piece of art that they created themselves at the fair. Youth will have the absolute best time expressing themselves and experimenting with how paint moves and honing in on their creativity. The presenter also gives a history on splatter painting and how it has developed.
We will also be bringing back a popular event from last year - Kevin Lindh, the local balloon artist. His presentation is an interactive event and helps youth learn about balloon artistry.
We will observe the splatter painting performance and activity to see how participants are reacting to the new event.
We will likewise monitor the balloon artist to see how participants are relating to this performance and count the number of participants.
