Community Arts Support Grant
ACHF Arts Access
Maintain or increase number of concerts and ticket sales (which means audience) while maintaining solvency. We intend to continue to offer a range of artists, from local and regional through the national/international, and to fit them into the appropriate size venue, from house concerts (where 30 attendees constitutes success) up through full-scale auditorium shows at Pioneer Place or the Paramount. We also continue to encourage young artists and audiences by booking showcase events aimed specifically at that demographic through programs such as the Young Voices showcase. We track ticket sales (that is audience numbers), number of concerts, and income. Indicators include increasing average concert attendance (and thus increasing ticket sales) as well as attracting more well-known artists. Getting one or two marquee artists per season, while continuing to offer our smaller-scale, close-up concerts, would constititute a very satisfying achievement. Maintaining high participation and attendance at the young-artist showcases would indicate that we are getting that part right.
The main measures of performance we have are number of concerts and ticket sales. For Fiscal Year 2012-13 (June-June), attendance at the 12 Main Series concerts was 667 and at 26 Five and Dime concerts was 659. Between attendance numbers and comments from patrons and musicians, we believe we are doing what we set out to do: provide quality acoustic music to St Cloud in a way that both artists and audiences can enjoy.
