These are all new initiatives. The Alliance will continue to offer the number of classes, exhibits and performances as it did in Fiscal Year 2013. Based on its new prime location and additional programing, the Alliance expects revenue will increase 10% in Fiscal Year 2014.The outcomes described above are on ongoing events and will be evaluated by the appropriate committees and full Board in their end of year evaluations, prior to making recommendations for the forthcoming year. In addition to the end of year evaluations, the program committee evaluates each class, performance and exhibition as it happens and does, on occasion, make on the spot changes. These ongoing evaluations include the number of attendees, the sales which are recorded, the quality of the event, and all written evaluations handed in by the attendees. The Program Committee's year-end report is given to the Board of Directors, to be included in their annual evaluation of all programs. Pertinent information from the evaluations is shared with the artists and public. In addition to this formal process of evaluation, the Board at its monthly meetings, also may discuss a program or event, which is recorded in the Board's minutes. The Board is asked to have a presence at all events, at which time they are also asked to obtain evaluative feedback from the attendees.
Reading Frenzy Corner opened inside the Elk River Area Art Alliance's new location at 609 Main Street in spring of 2013. With the addition of this book store within the Elk River Area Arts Alliance Gallery came twice monthly literary events, which were often book signings and discussions by local authors. The Elk River Area Arts Alliance also offered a selection of events on the new patio, including an outdoor painting class during the 2013 ArtSoup event. The Program Committee evaluated each event according to the number of attendees, the recorded sales, the quality of the event, and any written evaluations given by attendees. The Program Committee then reported this information to the Board. The Board also has a presence at all Elk River Area Arts Alliance events and obtains evaluative information from attendees.
