Project Details
Founded in 1973, Minnesota Center Chorale serves Central Minnesota with committed membership and growth, an energetic director, a strong board, and inventive collaborations. Repertoire includes choral masterworks, cantatas, spirituals, hymns, ethno-centric music as well as newly composed choral music.

Ten percent increase in number of patrons served from last yearÆs total of 1,650; Well received performances of standard choral repertoire supported by feedback from satisfaction surveys given to Minnesota Center Chorale members and patrons; Collaborative concerts throughout the season attracting choral patrons, particularly those interested in orchestral accompaniment, the young voices of the St. JohnÆs Boys Choir, and the premiering of Minnesota Center Chorale commissioned works; An increase in Membership of 15 members due to the programming of popular choral masterworks as well as interest in singing during the 40th anniversary concert season; Highly skilled musical groups and individual artists perform with Minnesota Center Chorale in all concerts from February 2012 to April 2013; The establishment of audio (mp3) and video capabilities on Minnesota Center ChoraleÆs website; Video clips from Minnesota Center Chorale concerts uploaded for public viewing; Promotional ideas on Facebook researched and assessed for cost effectiveness.By conducting a formal survey to evaluate memberÆs satisfaction regarding rehearsals, programming, collaborations, etc.; Verbal feedback to the Artistic Director and Board of Directors during and after the tour that assesses the quality of the cultural experience and the tourÆs artistic and educational benefits; Through the assessment of post-concert comments made by musical theater students (via five drama teachers who distributed vouchers) and the counting of attendance; Counting the number of reduced/free tickets used to attend concerts from the 150 allocated for this purpose; Attendance numbers at free concerts; Post-concert comments shared with Minnesota Center Chorale members and Ms. Martinson; Periodic evaluations received from surveys inserted into programs or possibly through the website Survey Monkey, asking what new information was gained from program notes/commentary; By the number of clicks on FacebookÆs ôlike usö icon; The successful collaboration affirmed by guest musicians through feedback given at rehearsals and after concerts.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Minnesota Center Chorale provided greater access to concerts through free performances. 20 library patrons attended a free concert given by Minnesota Center Chorale Chamber Singers in April 2012. Over 250 audience members were counted at the June 2012 fre
