Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Increase the awareness of symphonic music by increasing our audience and volunteers for project. On August 11 and 12, 2017 opera audiences will increase by 15% from 2016, totaling 1,320. By August 13, 2017, twenty new volunteers will be recruited to assist with the opera production. Volunteer assignments will include musician hospitality (providing housing, meals, or transportation to guest artists) and production (assisting with sets, props, etc.). Attendance will be measured by headcount at the two performances. These figures will be entered into a spreadsheet of concert attendance since the initial Lakes Area Music Festival season in 2009 to view attendance trends and determine growth. Volunteers will be recruited at events throughout the summer and entered into the organization's database to be tracked throughout the season.
