ACHF Arts Access
We expect to have 85 artists to show and perform their work to 1000 participants who will create river flags, making paper mache canoes and cranes, dance, food, and music.We'll count the participants. The art made by the audience will be counted and scanned and documented in videos, photos, and website of www.kinshipofrivers.org.
Kinship of Rivers at Soap Factory was a one month long celebration of the Yangtze and Mississippi Rivers, with over 100 artists from both countries and rivers participated in the show (90% of the artists live in the Twin Cities areas), with over 2000 audience participated in all the activities designed as interactive art projects; We made hundreds of river flags, origami cranes, paper canoes and fabric rivers, and nearly everyone participated in the meditation of the live making of Sand Mandala of Peace and Compassion; Everyone was amazed by the depth and scope of the art exhibition and active interactions with the audience, and was particularly impressed and moved by how the arts transformed the space in their hearts, minds, and gallery space; Some of them returned 3-5 times to the events throughout the show.
