ACHF Arts Access
Art Works will showcase the work of at least 30 Hmong artists either through visual art exhibition or performance, showcase the work of at least 30 artists with a history of military service, and start growing the overall percentage of POC are audiences for exhibition and performance programming to 20% to match the actual demographic living in the surrounding communities. We plan to evaluate participation through targeted calls for art and marketing within the targeted community. All applicants and performers will be part of the targeted community. We will additionally count participants and offer artist surveys and post-event feedback for audiences.
Audience surveys were not completed in high enough numbers to be statistically relevant. For two program cycles, more than 500 audience members enjoyed the work of 27 different artists from two target communities that are new to Art Works. This is a start. There is more work to build on as we plan for our future programming.
