Project Details

Faribault SWCD and Drainage Department have partnered to identify the most critical locations to cost effectively implement best management practices in a targeted drainage system within the Brush Creek subwatershed, County Ditch 64 (CD64). This project, in combination with an awarded federal grant, will provide cost share to implement 20 near system and upland BMPs in CD64 including but not limited to: 14 grade stabilization structures (including 2 alternative side inlets), 5 grassed waterways, and 1 water and sediment control basin. The 20 high priority critical resource points will reduce loading to CD64 by 176 tons of sediment per year and 203 pounds of phosphorus per year.
