Audiences will better appreciate connections between music and activism, learning what has been accomplished and how they can participate in more. We will use surveys, social media, emails, in-person conversations to ask attendees how their understanding of music's role in social activism has changed and what changes they see in their own inclination and ability to participate in activism.
Audiences experienced a high-quality performance and learned how Reagon approached the creation of an opera. 38% saw Reagon for the first time. We sent online surveys to all attendees. There was no in-person component to the event, and the post-show discussion happened in a Zoom webinar, with no public chat function.
