Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Hands-on education gives students freedom and responsibility to learn through real experience, rather than through reading or listening to somebody else. Hands-on experiences promote improved retention of information, improved attentiveness, pride in real results, and experimentation. Student knowledge and experience of theatre, creation of stories, and execution of scripts can build creative and interpretative skills. Students will increase their understanding of the fine arts as it supports overall academic learning. This understanding can alter student behavior to increase involvement in the arts and subsequent arts implementation in the community. As a result of participation, we will measure student's increase of artistic skills in music, dance, and theater via surveys.
