Arts Legacy Grant: School Residency
Learn carving and casting metal from sculptor, Sarah Hanson. High School students will first carve negative space sculptures and then cast with metal.

ACHF Arts Education
As a result of this program, high school students will learn about the art of carving molds and casting metal sculptures from artist, Sarah Hanson, Evaluation will occur through questionnaire with staff and students involved. Planners will also confer following the residency. Students will also share work in a display at the school.
Students at Red Lake County Central learned about the art of carving in a cuttlefish bone and casting the carvings in a metal sculpture. Positive learning happened with students experiencing a new type of learning and creating art they could wear and display. It was a new experience for students and much learning and creativity took place.
