Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this program, children and adults will be inspired through the spoken and written word and will expand skills. Evaluation will occur through communication with classroom teachers after the author events and discussion following the author and writer's workshop.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Over 200 children were given two in-school author events introducing them to the creativity of writing by Minnesota authors, Chris Monroe and Erin Downing. Our three day writer's retreat brought five Minnesota authors to our community, giving 35 aspiring and experienced writers an opportunity to develop and improve their craft. The retreat brought attendees from throughout the States of Minnesota and North Dakota to our small, rural community in NW MN.
